It has been a while since my last post.
Exams are over!
A week since the last one and I am still recovering. I still find myself ‘sleep revising’ or looking at peoples ankles as I stand on the escalator coming off the tube, trying to work out which muscles make up the Achilles tendon.
I have also finished writing up my lab work which is due to be handed in today, poster and abstract both done.
It is a strange feeling- not having any work to do. Don’t get me wrong, it has been lovely- particularly the time spent with the children. They have been on half term this week and we have had such a great time together, it is amazing to see the difference in their mood from having me around more. They are normally pretty happy-go-lucky kids but this week they have been excited and affectionate and so very happy. It is wonderful.
They will be back at school on Monday though so I think I will need to find something to occupy my time- I am not very good at having nothing to do.
There is some work on the horizon however……
I have an interview for a new SSC (student selected component) that I would like to do next year- ‘Student Psychotherapist Scheme’ It runs for years 3 and 4 and will involve getting to see a patient once a week. Fantastic opportunity, fingers crossed I get accepted.
I also have an autopsy to attend at the end of June.
But for now, back to the children – London roof top gardens today and maybe a cheeky ice-cream 🙂
